Japanese Topy Industries resumes normal operations at end of Nov
Japanese Topy Industries recently announced that it will resume the operations at the end of November. The furnace of the plant was damaged on October 25th, and the unaffected mills were now resumed.

Topy Industries pointed out that the cause of the accident was initially estimated as water leakage in the electric furnace, resulting in abnormal reaction between water and molten iron. At present, the cooling machine, refractory brick and ring furnace pipeline were determined to be damaged. The company has set up a project team to carry out repair work.

Before fully returning to normal operation, the rolling mill temporarily used semi-finished steel in stock and purchased semi-finished materials from the same industry for production.
The company will further clarify the main causes of the accident and try to prevent the disaster from happening again.
