Japanese stainless steel imports down in Sep
According to the statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japanese stainless steel imports totaled around 16,000 tons in September, down by 25.5% compared with the same period of last month. 

In terms of import volume, South Korea had a month-on-month decline of 26%, Taiwan had a month-on-month decline of 27.6%, and China had a month-on-month drop of 12.2%. The import value increased by 4% month on month. 

In September, Japanese special steel (excluding stainless steel) imports totaled around 56,000 tons, 3.7 times greater than that of last month. Among them, South Korea and China provided the most (including stainless steel) products, reaching about 71,400 tons, 2.7 times greater than that in the previous month.
