According to the data from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the production of Japanese small-sized steel bar was expected to reach 2.14 million tons in July to September, up by 50,000 tons or 2.5% compared to the same period last year. The monthly average production was 713,000 tons.
However, the estimate production in July to September had a quarter-on-quarter slide of 70,000 tons compared with that in April to June at 2.2 million tons.
