Japanese iron ore imports drop slightly in H1 2018
According to the statistics, Japan imported a total of around 10.7 million tons of iron ore this June, up by 0.6% year on year. Among them, the imports from Australia were around 6.4 million tons; those from Brazil were around 3 million tons; those from Canada were around 500,000 tons.

In the first half this year, the imports of Japanese iron ore amounted to around 62.9 million tons, falling by 0.3% compared to the same period a year ago. Among them, the imports from Australia were around 37.2 million tons; those from Brazil were around 17 million tons; those from Canada were around 3 million tons.
