According to the statistics from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the production of Japanese crude steel in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2018 (July-September) was expected to be 27.1 million tons roughly, a year-on-year increase of 4.3% and a month-on-month increase of 1.8%.
The expectation was 2% higher than the estimated demand in the second quarter, and it was also the highest in nearly 4 years.
