Japanese aluminum product output & shipment drop in Oct
According to the report from the Japan Aluminum Association (JAA), Japan produced a total of around 161,500 tons of aluminum products in October this year, down by 8.8% compared to the same month a year ago, which have fallen for 3 consecutive months. Among them, the output of aluminum plate had a year-on-year reduction of 11.7% to 94,000 tons roughly, and that of aluminum extrusion had a year-on-year decrease of 4.5% to around 68,000 tons.
In addition, the shipment of aluminum product in Japan amounted to approximately 164,000 tons in October, dropping by 8.6% compared to October 2018, which was the third-month decrease. Among them, the shipment of aluminum plate had a year-on-year reduction of 12.6% to 94,800 tons roughly, and that of aluminum extrusion had a year-on-year decrease of 2.6% to around 69,000 tons.
