ISSF: Global crude stainless steel production goes up in H1 2019
According to statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the production of global crude stainless steel totaled around 26.12 million tons in the first half in 2019, rising by nearly 1.9% compared to the revised figure in the same period a year ago.

Among them, the production of crude stainless steel from Asia, mainly for Japan, India and Taiwan (excluding China, South Korea and Indonesia) had a year-on-year decrease of 6.4% to 3.9 million tons roughly; that from China had a year-on-year increase of 8.5% to 14.4 million tons roughly; that from Europe had a year-on-year decline of 4.9% to around 3.74 million tons; that from the US had a year-on-year drop of 6.4% to around 1.35 million tons; that from other countries, including Brazil, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and Indonesia, had a year-on-year decrease of 3.4% to approximately 2.77 million tons.
