Indonesia’s nickel export ban may hit China’s stainless steel production
According to the news, the nickel export ban policy from the Indonesian government might strongly influence the largest buyer, China.

The ban policy was expected to be implemented from January in 2020, and some of the experts expected that the nickel pig iron(NPI)'s production in 2020 would come to only around 500,000 tons, decreased by 13% from the previous’ expectation, 575,000 tons.

The trend would expect to be continued in 2021, the production might be only left around 340,000 tons at that time.

Moreover, the huge decline of NPI might cause China’s stainless steel mills decided to drop their production at the end.
