Indonesian Bino Artomas Mineral plans to build alumina plant in West Kalimantan
It was reported that Indonesia PT. Bino Artomas Mineral planned to build an alumina plant with an annual capacity of 2 million tons in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, with a total investment of around US$700 million. The firm is currently seeking partners.

PT. Bino Artomas Mineral has 5 mines in West Kalimantan, with an estimated reserve of 900 million tons roughly. The bauxite there can be supplied to alumina plants for at least 60 years.

The firm got the mining rights at the end of 2013, but it hasn’t started the bauxite miming since the Indonesian government issued an order to ban bauxite export in early 2014.
