Indonesia, China impose anti-dumping duties on steel products
It was reported that Indonesia and China set anti-dumping import duties on each other’s’ steel products in a rise of a global tariffs.

Indonesia extended anti-dumping duties up to 20% on flat-rolled iron and steel from seven countries, such as China, Russia and India. The duties were imposed since 2013. Steelmakers like China’s Angang Steel Co, Baoshan Iron and Steel Co, Russia’s Severstal and India’s Essar Steel are affected. The extension will be effective 14 days from March 19 as the government signed the regulation. 

Indonesia also imposed duties on imported rolled steel products from Taiwan, Thailand, Kazakhstan and Belarus and another 11.9% anti-dumping duty on other iron and steel products from China.

Indonesia imported 1.79 million tons steel products from China, ranked as 5th destination of China’s steel flat products.
