Indonesia advises automobile industry to use domestic materials
Indonesian Ministry of Industry encouraged domestic automobile manufacturers to use steel produced by KNNS to reduce raw material imports.

Since Indonesia had a domestic component requirement of 80% or 100% for domestic vehicles, all requirements could be met by using domestic materials. Steel demand was expected to reach 700,000 to 800,000 tons, according to the Ministry of Industry. But at the moment, all relied on imports.

At present, KNSS's products included cold-rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, etc., with an annual capacity of 480,000 tons, which was expected to meet the demand of domestic automobile manufacturers and to further replace imported steel products.
