Indian crude steel production drops in Apr
According to statistics, India produced approximately 2.8 million tons of crude steel in April, dropping by 65.8% from the previous month and 69.5% from the same period a year ago.
Besides, Indian production of finished steel was about 1.4 million tons, falling by 81.1% month on month and 84.6% year on year.
Due to the event of a drop in production, the consumption of finished steel in April was about 700,000 tons, plunging by nearly 91% from April 2019 and down by 89.6% from a month ago.
