India to revoke tax exemption on stainless steel sheet
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of India has revoked the tax exemption authorization scheme for stainless steel sheet imports.
It was understood that the original authorization scheme was to allow the import of stainless steel sheet to be exempted, providing that these products were completed within 6 months from the date of customs clearance of imported products.
Currently, DGFT has revoked the stainless steel sheet import duty-free licensing program, which included stainless steel sheet products under HS codes 7219 and 7220.
