India postpones planned tariffs against US goods
The Indian government announced on August 4th that it would impose tariffs on some goods from the US from September 18th of this year, in response to Washington's denial of exemption to India on the new steel and aluminum tariffs.

Originally, New Delhi had planned to establish new tariffs against products from the US from August 4th, but now the Indian government has decided to delay the measure until September.

The senior officials from both countries, including the Secretary of State and US Secretary of Defense, Mike Pompeo and James Mattis, respectively, were scheduled to hold meetings with their Indian counterparts next September.
