India becomes main export market for stainless steel wire rods in South Korea
In the first half of this year, India replaced China as South Korea's main export market for stainless steel wire rods. China was South Korea's main export market for this kind of product last year. Obviously, the trade conflict between China and the US has had an impact on Chinese steel demand.

South Korea exported around 30,000 tons of stainless steel wire rod in the first half of this year, down by 23.9% from 39,800 tons in the same period last year, according to statistics from Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA).

Besides, South Korean exports of stainless steel wire rod to India in the first half reached around 8,100 tons, up by 6.6% compared to the same period last year; those to China fell by 33.1% year on year to 4,400 tons roughly.
