Global raw steel output to grow again during Jan-Sep
According to the latest monthly summary from The World Steel Association (worldsteel), the global raw steel production rose to about 1.35 billion tons between January and September this year, an increase of 5.4% from same period of 2017. It increased only slightly less than 1% in August to September. 

The raw material production was investigated by Worldsteel among 64 countries, accounting for 99% global raw material output. Worldsteel announced the raw steel demand of this year was about 1.66 billion tons, increasing by 42 million tons from the previous forecast half a year ago. It also pointed out although the requirement showed an upward trend, the risk stepped out as well.
