Global crude steel production rises in Sep
According to the statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), the global crude steel production was around 152 million tons in September, up by 4.4% year on year. 

In the first 9 months in 2018, global crude steel production totaled around 1.35 billion tons, increasing by 5.4% compared with the same period a year ago. 

In terms of origins, the EU was with around 14 million tons, up by 0.2% year on year; followed by other Europe areas with around 3 million tons, down by 4.3% year on year; followed by the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with around 8.39 million tons, down by 2.6% year on year; followed by North America with around 10 million tons, up by 6.2% year on year; followed by South America with around 3.8 million tons, hiking by 1% year on year; followed by Africa with around 1.2 million tons, up by 2% year on year; followed by the Middle East with around 3 million tons, up by 2.9% year on year; followed by Asia with around 108 million tons, increasing by 5.9% year on year; followed by Oceania with around 480,000 tons, up by 1.8% year on year.
