Global crude steel production reaches 1.3 billion tons roughly in Q1-Q3
According to statistics from the World Steel Association, in 2019 from January to September the global crude steel production was calculated as 1.3 billion tons roughly, a growth by 4.7% compared with last year. 

Asia, of which the total production was about 947 million tons, realizing a growth of 5.5% compared with a year ago, has produced most crude steel among all the regions. China was the country that produced most crude steel in both Asia and the whole world. In the first 3 quarters of 2018, the crude steel production of China was summed as 699 million tons roughly, a growth of 6.1% compared with last year. 

The Top 10 countries on the global crude steel production list were China, India (about 79.7 million tons), Japan (about 78 million tons), the US (about 64.2 million tons), Russia (about 54.3 million tons), South Korea (about 54.2 million tons), Germany (about 34 million tons), Turkey (about 28 million tons), Brazil (about 26.1 million tons) and Iran (about 18.5 million tons).
