Global crude steel output increases in Feb
According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), in February, global crude steel output increased by 3.7% year on year but decreased by 5.8% month on month to about 149 million tons.

Among them, the output from Asia reached about 110 million tons, growing by 3.9 from the same month a year ago. In specific, China was the biggest producer, slightly increasing by 3.5% year on year to 81.2 million tons.

In addition, the output from the EU’s 27 countries decreased by 3.3% year on year to 10.6 million tons. The production from Turkey, North America, and Africa hiked by 46.6% year on year to 3.1 million tons, decreased by 1.3% year on year to 8.7 million tons, and rose by 8.1% year on year to 1.8 million tons, respectively.
