ASG News: in October, Angang and users signed a new high-strength weather-resistant welding wire steel product contract totaling 300tons, realizing the first batch supply of Angang railway locomotive special welding wire steel products.

High strength weathering welding wire is an important welding material in the production of railway locomotives, and the quality of the materials directly affects the performance of locomotives. On the basis of the existing welding wire steel products, the new type welding wire steel in Angang is based on the existing welding wire steel products, through the micro adjustment of elements and the inspection and control of residual elements, the tensile strength and lower yield strength of the products can be improved so as to improve the weldability, weather resistance and weld quality of the products. Compared with the original welding wire steel, the alloy content of the new welding wire steel is higher, and there are more stringent requirements in mechanical properties, composition precision control and so on.

Through the preliminary test and production, and combined with the user trial feedback, the composition of the new welding wire steel is optimized. On the premise of ensuring the accurate control of the composition, the mechanical properties of the wire rod are adjusted to make the product quality meet the needs of users.
