EGA's GAC plans to build alumina plant in Kamsar, Guinea
It was reported that Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA)’s wholly-owned subsidiary Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) officially exported its first batch of 70,000 tons of bauxite from Sangaredi bauxite mine in Boké region in western Guinea.

The main plan of the second phase for the project was to build a new alumina plant in Kamsar, Guinea, with an annual production capacity of 1 million to 1.5 million tons.

It was understood that the area of GAC's bauxite mine in Sangaredi covered around 690 square kilometers. GAC acquired the concession for this area in 2013, with valid period of 25 years, one-time renewal available.
