Chinese steel production rises for Jan-May
According to Nation Bureau of Statistics of China, in May of this year, China's crude steel production totaled 72.26 million tons 1.8% compared with the same period of last year; pig iron production totaled 61.73 million tons, down by 0.1% compared with the same period of last year; 95.78 million tons, down by 1.9% compared with the same period of last year, respectively.
In January-May, China's crude steel, pig iron and steels production totaled 346.83 million tons, 300.47 million tons and 453.68 million tons, respectively.
