According to the latest data from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), in the first half of 2018, Chinese steel companies achieved a substantial increase in exports of carbon steel to Japan, with an average increase of 308% in exports of long products.
Data showed that in the past six months, the export volume of Chinese galvanized coils increased by 52% year-on-year to 92,000 tons, while the export volume of cold-rolled coils increased by 81% year-on-year to 31,050 tons.
However, it was possible that Chinese steel products turned into Japanese main export countries, such as Thailand.
