Chinese aluminium foil exports decrease in Jun due to seasonal lull
According to the report, a slow season had come and begun to affect the aluminum foil market in mid-June. The latest customs data showed that Chinese exports of aluminum foil had declined by 7.29% from May and the export volume stood at around 116,000 tons in June, which was affected by higher price level of SHFE (Shanghai Futures Exchange)/LME(London Metal Exchange) aluminum and a seasonal lull.

Recently, the orders from construction sectors and home appliances had failed off and further sales volume and production for food package, household use and air-conditioner use had also dropped from May. It was expected that the slow season would continue and drag on the domestic and overseas orders, which forced some producers to cut planned production for August.

The first five destinations of Chinese aluminum foil exports in the first half of 2019 were South Korea, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which accounted for 63% of the total export volume of Chinese aluminum foil.
