China's apparent crude steel consumption exceeds 930 million tons in 2019
According to the industry information provider Lange, China's combined apparent consumption of crude steel stood at 781 million tons during the first ten months of 2019, an increase of 8.2% over the same period of the past year.

Based on it, Lange expected that China's apparent consumption of crude steel to exceed 930 million tons in 2019, representing a year-on-year increase of 6%.

Lange comments that the increase in consumption was mainly due to strong domestic demand from the world's largest steel producer and that strong domestic demand would continue to be a central driver of China's crude steel consumption growth.
