China's aluminum industry runs stably in Q1 2020
In the first quarter of this year (January to March 2020), China’s major aluminum products’ production kept stable.
According to statistics, the output of electrolytic aluminum was around 8.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%; that of alumina was around 16.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%; that of aluminum products was roughly 10.5 million tons, a year-on-year decline of 6.3%.
Meanwhile, the aluminum industry had a total profit of RMB 3.13 billion, up by 69.2% compared to the same period a year ago.
