China-US trade war impacts on home appliance industry
Due to the China-US trade war, Chinese exporters recently suspended to export appliances to the US and directly affected the relevant market. In the meanwhile, Japanese cold-rolled steels and coated high end products confronted the issue of production and pricing.
At present, the general cold-rolled steel price decreased because the hot-rolled steel price declined. In addition, Chinese and Vietnamese mills continued to exceed production, leading a decrease of the price difference between cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel coil.
Some market participants believed that the US import market would impact the home appliance industry instantly.
