China-Saudi jointly planning to build integrated aluminum complex in Egypt
According to the announcement by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt, Hangzhou Jinjiang Group was planning to establish an integrated aluminum complex in Egypt, in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ajlan Group.
This strategic project would include an aluminum smelter, an alumina refinery, two desalination plants and a caustic soda plant, covering an area of around 6 million square meters.
The project value, exact location or planning schedule had not officially revealed yet, but the ministry said that the government would support this project by all means with facilitating land and other infrastructure requirements, such as electricity, water, natural gas and access to the port.
