Canada issues preliminary rulings on AD & CVD against Chinese sucker rods
It was reported that on August 16th, 2018, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) made an anti-dumping and countervailing affirmative preliminary ruling on sucker rods originating in or imported from China, and decided to impose the temporary anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties from 147.7% to 449.4% on the products involved from that date.

The specific reasons for the preliminary rulings would be announced within 15 days. The Canadian Customs code for the product was 8413.91.00.10.

The case was established on May 18th, 2018. On July 17th, 2018, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a notice stating that the anti-dumping and countervailing industry damages were originally made for the sucker rods originating in or imported from China.
