Brazil's Vale to resume operation of Viga concentration plant
Vale SA, one of the Brazilian miners, announced on November 29 that its subsidiary company Ferrous Resources do Brasil would resumption the Viga concentrate plant within 24 hours.
The restart of the resumption of Viga operations does affect the iron ore and pellets sales forecast. After the operation resumed, it could produce approximately 330,000 tons of iron ore per month.
The iron ore and pellets sales target for 2019 was around 3.1 million tons, and the sales target for the fourth quarter of this year was around 85 million tons, and 73 million tons for the first quarter of 2020.
