Brazil’s steel plate sales fall in Apr
According to the statement from Brazilian Steel Distributors Association, the sales of steel plate dropped by 13.2% year on year in April and fell by 15.9% to 223,170 tons month on month.
The purchase quantity of steel plate fell by 8.7% in April compared with the same period of last year and dropped by 23% to 221,300 tons from the same period of last month. The sales and purchases both decreased by 8% year on year in Apr.
The imports of steel plate increased by 58% year on year in April but fell by 33.8% to 72,900 tons month on month.
