Brazilian Vale's operation of Laranjeiras dam & Brucutu mine to be resumed
Brazil’s iron ore producer Vale said on March 19th that after the Brumadinho dam disaster killed hundreds of people, the operations at Brucutu mine was stopped, and now the decision of the Minas Gerais State Court of Brazil allowed the Vale’s Laranjeiras dam and the Brucutu mine to restart operations. However, Vale hasn't provided a timetable for restarts yet.
Vale’s assets of the R$1 billion by the court previously held by the court will be used to pay for the evacuated communities near São Sebastião das Águas Claras, Macacos.
