Brazilian steel exports to US decrease in Jun
According to the data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) and International Trade Commission (ITC), Brazilian exported around 253,000 tons of carbon and alloy steel, a decrease of 57.6% compared to 596,500 tons in 2017 and a decline of 4.6% compared to 265,000 tons from May 2018.

Additionally, Brazil exported around 1.9 million tons of carbon and alloy steel in the first half year of 2018, fell by 23.6% compared to 2.5 million tons in 2017.

Brazil exported about 238,000 tons of finished-steel to the US in June, down by more than 50% compared to 497,800 tons in 2017. The USDOC’s data showed that Brazil followed the rules of the US’ quota to avoid the 25% tariffs and exported around 4.7 million tons of steel to the US in July of 2017.
