Brazilian mineral exports to rise by 2.5% in 2018
Brazilian Mining Association (IBRAM) said that due to increased domestic mining investment, it was expected that Brazilian mineral exports will increase by 410 million tons in 2018, an annual increase of 2.5%. 

According to statistics, total export value of mineral products was expected to raise from US$28.37 billion last year to US$30 billion. Including statistics of the first six months of 2018 from Vale S.A. and other major mining companies, Brazilian iron ore exports were stabilized, copper exports have increased by 4% annually, and gold exports have increased by 40% annually. 

Besides, IBRAM raised its investment forecast for 2018-2022 from US$18 billion to US$19.5 billion, and stated that as Brazilian government revised the mining industry regulations to attract capital investment, it was expected that the investment forecast will grow steadily in the next five years.
