Brazilian crude steel outputs decrease in Oct
According to the data from the Brazil Steel Institute (IABr), Brazil produced around 2.6 million tons of crude steel in October, falling by 19.4% from the same month a year ago. The export volume of Brazilian steel products was dropping by 37.8% year on year to about 1.1 million tons, the export value was roughly US$6 million, dropping by 49.4% year on year.

From January to October, Brazil produced approximately 27.2 million tons, decreasing by 8.6% year on year. The steel sales volume was down by 2.4% year on year to about 16 million tons. Brazil imported 2.1 million tons of steel products and exported around 11 million tons, which was up by 1.2% while decreasing by 6.4% year on year respectively.
