Arconic’s aluminum mill in Tennessee to resume works
It was reported that Arconic expected to resume the works at its aluminum rolling mill in Tennessee this week, which was suspended in early April due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Arconic Inc. was officially split into two independent companies, Arconic Corp. and Howmet Aerospace Inc on April 1st.
Mr. Myers, Arconic’s Chief Executive Officer, said that Arconic's aluminum plants in New York and Tennessee have been temporarily idled since April 6th in order to minimize the impact by the pandemic, while the aluminum extrusion plant in New York has resumed operations on April 20th.
