Aluminum associations urge US to exempt Canada & Mexico from tariffs on aluminum
It was reported that the aluminum associations from the US, Canada and Mexico urged their governments to reach an agreement on Monday to lift US' tariffs on aluminum imports from Canada and Mexico, and not to impose import quotas on aluminum products from both countries.

The US' Aluminum Association, Mexican IMEDAL and the Aluminium Association of Canada (AAC) said the 10% tariff imposed by the US on national security grounds under section 232 should give a full, quota-free exemption to products made in North America before the leaders of the three countries signed the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on November 30th.
