Aluminium Bahrain reports financial results in Q1 2020
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world's largest aluminum smelter outside China, had announced its financial results in the first quarter of 2020.
Its sales volume had increased by 48% and the profit had significantly grown by 136% to US$15.3 million from the same period of last year, with a great loss of US$42 million.
To push forward the savings, Alba was making efforts in developing the cost reduction program ‘Project Titan’. Moreover, with the quickness of its supply-chain team and response strategy, the company was able to overcome the crisis amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
