AEROBAL’s aluminum aerosol can shipment grows by 5.5% in H1 2022
According to the International Organization of Aluminum Aerosol Container Manufacturers (AEROBAL), the global shipment of aluminum aerosol cans from its member enterprises totaled nearly 3 billion cans in the first half of this year, hiking by 5.5% compared to the year-ago period. The increase was due to higher demand mainly from the hairspray, household goods, and pharmaceutical industries, which grew by 34%, 15%, and 9% compared to 2021, respectively.

AEROBAL President Wan Tsang Lin said that the growth of the aluminum aerosol can industry has been restricted by the global energy crisis, blocked logistics, and a shortage of skilled workers.

In the first half of the year, AEROBAL member enterprises’ shipments to Europe and America accounted for 70% of total exports, up by 11% and 2.6% respectively. The shipment to the Middle East hiked by nearly 28%, and that to Asia and Oceania only grew by 3.2%.
