US’ HRC exports hike in Feb
According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 50,600 tons of hot-rolled coils in February, increasing by 9.7% compared to the previous month and also rising by 9.5% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 36,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 17.7% and a year-on-year hike of 4.6%. Canada ranked second with around 13,500 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$48 million, up by 17.3% month on month and 25.3% year on year.
