Thoughtful Aid to Hubei despite the Distance

Since the middle of January, a serious pneumonia epidemic has broken out in Hubei. As of January 27, there have been more than 2,800 confirmed cases and more than 5,800 suspected cases, with the death toll reaching 81. The grim situation far exceeds that of SARS in 2003. 

As an international group compnay with social responsibility, Asian Steel Group Co., Limited has been paying close attention to the situation of pneumonia epidemic. Its branches around the country have also cooperated with the relevant regulations of the state and various provinces and cities, paid attention to hygiene and isolated actively. We hope to fight against the pneumonia and jointly defend our beautiful homeland through the joint efforts of all employees of the Group.

Considering the increasing shortage of various medical supplies in China, Justin Jin, the President of Asian Steel Group Co., Limited, instructed all overseas companies to actively purchase various possible medical supplies locally, such as medical masks, goggles, protective suit, etc., and donate them back to China. At the same time, relying on dozens of overseas branches of Worldwide Logistics Group, and through the command and coordination of the International Operation Center in Singapore, a more professional end-to-end medical supplies logistics solution has been built in a relatively short period of time. 

On Saturday, January 25, the first day of the lunar year, Liu Xiao, General Manager of the International Operation Center of Asian Steel Group Co., Limited, began to arrange, coordinate and communicate with the branches of Asian Steel Group Co., Limited around the world, implemented local warehouse trailers and air transport capabilities, and actively contacted local Chinese and overseas Chinese organizations to publicize the relevant logistics services that they provide for the free transportation of donated supplies to China. At the same time, Singapore employees, after receiving the emergency mobilization order, divided their work and cooperated to form an overseas support team integrating procurement contact and logistics communication. After two days of unremitting efforts, 50 boxes of medical masks (a total of 100,000 pieces) were finally purchased. 



While purchasing masks, other aspects of logistics preparations were also proceeding in an orderly way. Since January 27 is a public holiday in Singapore, most airlines' freight departments are also on holiday. Singapore Company of Asian Steel Group contacted the heads of several airlines directly and confirmed the earliest flights and spaces. After learning about our transportation needs, Mr. Chen, the head of Juneyao Air in Singapore, immediately proposed: The first batch of aid masks of Asian Steel Group could be transported to Shanghai free of charge by taking the Juneyao Flight HO1606 at 10:20 p.m. on the 27th.
