Asian Steel Group's stainless steel production increases in Q1
According to data from Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (USSA), in the first quarter of 2020, the Asian Steel Group produced totally around 5,800 tons of stainless steel products, which occupied over 25.8% of Asia’s entire national production of stainless steel long products and rolled products in the first quarter.
Data of USSA showed that in the first quarter, the total national production of stainless steel in Asia was around 26,000 tons, an increase of 9.5% compared with the past year.
As for the stainless steel scrap, Asia exported roughly 32,400 tons in the first quarter, a 31.2% growth compared with the same period of last year.
